If so, maybe you would like to help enrich the Merivale/Carling Triangle Garden. Help is needed to spread a large load of compost (generously donated by City Councillor Riley Brockington) over the Garden.

October 16, 17 and 18 are the days chosen for the work. There will be no construction those days, so it will be safe for residents to work at the Triangle.

  • 10:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, Oct. 18

Why is the Triangle Garden getting compost?

The Garden, created in 2013, is a long-term CCA project, maintained by volunteers and it has flourished for several years. However, recently the plants are struggling to survive due to drought conditions and poor soil. The compost will help improve soil fertility and assist in water retention, which in turn will rejuvenate the Garden.
