You are invited for the final viewing and consultation stage to discuss the proposed Alexander Community Centre expansion and renovation project.
Preliminary design drawings will be on display for your review and staff will be present to answer any questions and receive comments. There will be a brief project overview presentation followed by an opportunity to review the boards and speak with the project team. See “Project Summary” below.

Project Summary
What: The project will renovate and expand the existing community centre, providing a new full-size gymnasium, and associated support spaces.
Why: To renovate, update and expand this nearly 60-year-old community centre facility for the Carlington and Central Park communities. Funding for this project has been secured through contributions from the Ontario Ministry of Sport and the City of Ottawa’s annual budget.
When: Construction is planned to start late 2026 with facility substantial completion targeted for March 2027, and associated site works and final completion anticipated August 2027.
