Members of our Greening committee kicked off the Carlington Cleaning the Capital event at the Merivale-Carling Triangle Garden on Saturday. April 18. It went very quickly, showing what just a small group can accomplish when their hearts are in it!

Clean-up Logistics:

  • Rubber gloves are provided (so you don’t have to bring your own), but wear appropriate footwear & clothing
  • Bring a water bottle.
  • Also available: Grabbers for hard to reach areas
  • There will be a Sharps Kit for discarded drug use items.
  • Bins for recyclables & garbage bags will be available; if you want to bring smaller plastic bags, you’re welcome to.
  • If 3 or moreĀ garbage bags are filled, the City will pick them up, with notice. If less, bags can be taken home to add to residents’ garbage. (Yellow garbage bags are not counted towards the allowable 3 per household.)
