Every weekend from May to October, the NCC reserves some of its parkways in Ottawa for active use. Whether you’re biking, walking, in-line skating, using a wheelchair, or pushing a stroller, this program is for you!
Saturday, May 13 to Monday, October 9
8:00 a.m. until noon: Sir John A. MacDonald Parkway, from Vimy Place to Carling Avenue
8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.: Sir Georges-Étienne Cartier Parkway, from Aviation Parkway to St. Joseph Blvd.
These car-free roads are a great way to experience the beauty of the National Capital Region in a fun, safe, and environmentally friendly way.
