Cost: Free. (No registration required.)
What: An annual barbeque and day of events for kids of all ages as well as a play by the Company of Fools.

Who: All residents in Carlington, their families and their friends.

City Councillor Riley Brockington and the Carlington Community Association are hosting a series of events in Raven Park on Thursday August 13, 2026.

- 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. – City of Ottawa Special Events Day at the Raven Park wading pool.
- This will include arts, crafts, games.
- 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. – Bouncy Castles
- Cotton candy will be available while quantities last!
- 4:00 pm. to 7:00 p.m. – Community information tables
- Visit with various community groups in Carlington to ask questions, pick up information and resources, and to see what’s available in the neighbourhood.
- 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Community BBQ and Party (Courteousy of the CCA and Shepherds of Good Hope)
- Enjoy a delicious BBQ with halal and veggie dogs, corn, watermerlon – while quantitites last!
- 7:00 p.m. – Shakespeare in the Park – SHOWTIME!
- A Company of Fools presents Shakespear’s Comedy of Errors. The stage will be located at the West side of the park and donations are appreciated not required.
- 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. – City of Ottawa Special Events Day at the Raven Park wading pool.
