Parks & Green Space

Carlington is blessed with many parks and green spaces.  And not only does Carlington border on the Experimental Farm on two sides, we have a major NCC bike path as well.

Why not participate in projects to help make Carlington greener and cleaner? Currently, Greening Committee members organize the annual CCA Yard and Plant Sale, maintain the green space at the triangle at Carling and Merivale and co-ordinate our Adopt-a-Park commitment to cleaning up Alexander Park twice a year. The more members we have, the more we can do – new ideas always welcome!    Email:

The “Triangle” at Carling and Merivale

The “Triangle” is a green space in our eyes only, since it is technically road allowance.  But we like to think of it as “ours”. There are three garden areas that are being maintained by the CCA through an understanding with the City.  The understanding also includes our keeping the area free of litter, currently a Greening Committee responsibility.
