The City of Ottawa’s Climate Change and Resiliency Team has partnered with the Ottawa Public Library to make thermal imaging cameras available for borrowing at library branches.
Thermal imaging cameras measure surface temperature using infrared imaging, allowing you to identify hot and cold spots in your home, showing you where you might need more insulation or where air is entering or exiting your home. This way, you can be sure your efforts are going to where you’ll get maximum impact to improve the comfort and efficiency performance of your home.
There are 5 cameras available to borrow at the Ottawa Public Library right now, with thirty more on back-order. Reserve your camera soon because the waiting list is long!
Search the Ottawa Public Library site by searching for “thermal camera” as a Keyword in the Catalog.
