Using Zoom:

You must have ZOOM (it’s free!) downloaded on the device you plan to use. A few days before the meeting, you will receive an email from the CCA with instructions and a link to the AGM meeting on Zoom. Click on that link any time between 6:45 and 7:00 p.m, so everyone is ready to start the meeting at 7:00 p.m. Note: Your device must have a microphone if you wish to talk during the meeting. There is also a Chat function where you can type questions/comments during the meeting.

Election of New Directors:

A nomination committee was struck at the last General Meeting in February 2021. The CCA is seeking community members to stand for election to the Board of Directors. The election of new Directors and a new President will take place at this May 25 Annual General Meeting. For more information about nomination, the election, voting or proxy voting, please see:

Voting on Motions at the Meeting:

To vote on motions, you must live in Carlington and must be a member of the CCA.

.Voting by Proxy for Directors at the Meeting:

Proxy votes for the election of Directors and a President will also be allowed at the AGM. Proxy voting means that, if you cannot attend the AGM over Zoom, you can appoint someone else to vote for you. You must fill out a Proxy Voting Form and submit it to at least forty-eight (48) hours before the beginning of the AGM. Please note: both you and the person voting for you must be members of the CCA.

CCA Membership and Membership Deadline:

The membership fee is not fixed — it is pay-what-you-can — but the suggested amount is $10 per person. BECOME A MEMBER. Deadline for becoming a member and for signing up for the in-person or Zoom meeting is 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021.
