The boundaries of the city’s wards are going to be reviewed. The company of Beate Bowron Etcetera Inc., in association with The Davidson Group and Hemson Consulting Ltd., was selected as the successful proponent for the Review. They will lead the public consultation and report the results back for Committee and Council consideration.
An online input survey was launched on March 4, 2020: ottawa.ca/wardboundary
There will be 2 rounds of public consultations for the Review.
The first round will consist of 9 public session taking place between March 4 and April 3, 2020. This first round is aimed at receiving input from residents, key stakeholders and Members of Council on the City’s current ward boundaries.
The local meeting for Ward 16, our ward, will take place at Jim Durrell Recreation Centre, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m, March 30, 2020 (1265 Walkley Road)
This round will result in an Information Report setting out new ward boundary options, which will be considered by the Finance and Economic Development Committee and Council in Q2 2020.
