Community Thank you to all the Carlington Community Association members who attended the 2019 AGM on May 7th. Constable Dawn Neilly was guest speaker and offered tips on ways to keep cars and homes safe from theft. Councillor Riley Brockington provided a report on Carlington activities as well as noting his River Ward Strawberry Social is Thursday June 6, 2019.
Charity Bartlett was elected for the 2019 to 2021 term as President. This will be her last term as President.
Nelson Coyle, David Hoey and Lisa Rossman were elected as Directors of the Board for the 2019 to 2021 term.Kristen Bennett, Dave Janveau, Adele Stubbert and Melanie Zahab are continuing their final year of their 2018 to 2020 terms.a
Thank you to outgoing Director and Vice-President Robert Brinker. Although Robert is no longer on the CCA board he is staying on as Chair of Development. Robert is engaged in other Development activities such as the Civic Hospital planning as well as being on the Board of the Federation of Citizens (FCA) which is an organization comprised of 2 members from many Community Associations across the city. The CCA board appreciates Robert taking time to continue as Chair of Development which is an important contribution for the Carlington Community’s wellbeing.
Executive positions will be assigned at the June Board meeting and the priorities for the coming year will be discussed.
