Alexander Park features a basketball court, soccer fields, an outdoor wading pool, play structure, and swings. During the winter months an outdoor rink is maintained in the park.

The Alexander Community Centre is open year round and is the meeting place for the Carlington Community Association. It also serves as a polling station during elections.
