Call for Nominations to the CCA Board of Directors

A nominating committee has been struck chaired by Linda Dodd the CCA Treasurer.

Every year at the Annual General Meeting, CCA Board members are chosen through consideration and election by the membership. The CCA welcomes expressions of interest from the community to join the Board for 2017/2018.

Members/residents interested in running for election to the Board are asked to submit their name to Linda Dodd ahead of the Annual General Meeting May 24, 2017, or can submit their nomination from the floor during this meeting.

Note that all those standing for election to the Board will be invited to address the membership (briefly, as time is limited).

Should Carlington support the Sanctuary City movement?

The CCA has been asked to add our support to the following letter supporting Ottawa's designation as a Sanctuary City. In Sanctuary Cities, City Councils make a public commitment that city staff will provide municipal services to undocumented immigrants without asking for their status or reporting their lack of legal status federal agencies.
